I love me some OCC Lip Tars, so I knew I had to try Black Dahlia, it looked right up my alley.
This looks super scary in the tube, however, it is described as “Blackest Blackened Red” so it sounds super scary too. Is it really that scary? Nah, not so much.
This comes out almost black, but as you blend it out you see this has a raspberry pink base, think MAC’s Rebel. Which is a shame, as I really wanted this to be more of a true red, like OCC’s Vintage, but darker.
As always, the formula of these are great, they’re pigmented, and stay put wonderfully.
But I’m just disappointed that its more pink/purple than red. Sorry OCC.

That’s a gorgeous colour, exactly what I go for in lip colours and I love MAC’s Rebel too. Where did you find it in the UK?
